Jazz Band Hire – Drinks Reception

Jazz Band Hire – Drinks Reception

Charing-Cross-Hotel

The London Jazz Trio had a great time this week, working hard at the wonderful Charing Cross Hotel in the heart of London.

We actually played there last week for a wonderful,  corporate drinks reception and we returned  this week for another evening of fun, cool grooves and great tunes.

Many thanks to the Charing Cross Hotel for making both evenings professional, smooth running, enjoyable events and a special thank you to the manager Bleddyn. who had this to say:

Very good music on both nights and especially yesterday with a bit of a full house was great to have you there. Happy clients were probably because of the good music 🙂Many thanks I’ll have no hesitation in recommending you to my clients.

High Quality Live Music

The London Jazz Trio were delighted to be asked to perform on board the only exclusive, private cruise ship in the World.
In fact, called “The World”, it’s a luxurious  floating home to a select few. Every part of the ship exudes quiet sophistication and class.

We had a wonderful 2 week trip around Norway as well as thoroughly enjoying the performances, especially with the delightful 7ft 6 Yamaha grand piano that was provided.

We played a huge selection music, from Oscar Peterson grooves to quiet Bill Evans sophistication, Beatles, Jimi-Hendrix as well as some Usher andRihanna which kept the staff amused.

We have already been asked back and are also very much looking forward to a return trip in October.

The London-Jazz-Trio had a lovely introduction to 2013 with a great contrast in playing styles to suit the events.
Just before new years eve we played a wonderful champagne reception at the prestigious One Whitehall Place. This is a great venue, in the heart of London, just by the Thames with an array of large, impressive rooms.
We had fun with a wonderfully up-beat Oscar Peterson style  set, yet we are also able to keep it quiet, bubbling with contained energy. This style is such fun (and difficult!) to play but it also emits an infectious energy.

By contrast,  we played a wonderfully sophisticated and calm new years day brunch at the elegant Great Fosters in Surreydinner jazz For this event we changed the style more towards Bill Evans, with sophisticated Ravel style harmony and a quiet thoughtful approach rather than the more rhythm based hard swing of the Peterson sound. It was a delight to play this style after the late night of new year.

If you’re having a drinks reception, champagne reception or Jazz lunch feel free to get in touch and ask any questions.

The London-Jazz-Trio arefull time professional musicians with a huge amount of experience. We pride ourselves in providing just the right mood for the occasion with a mixture of up-beat grooves, sophisticated songs and modern pop tunes.

Jazz Band – Canary Wharf

The London Jazz Trio really did have fun on Wednesday at the University of East London Business Centre Launch at De Vere, Canary Wharf.

I have to say we were looked after wonderfully by the organisers Stacey Millard and Amie Murphy, so a big thank you to them.

This is what they had to say about the band:

The London Jazz Trio were amazing from the seamless booking process right through to their faultless performance. The band were extremely flexible with our requirements and created the perfect atmosphere! All of our guests complimented the music and it was so nice to see a band who were enjoying themselves during the performance. Will definitely be booking again in the future and would recommend to everyone! Thanks to the London Jazz Trio for an enjoyable evening.

Following the fantastic summer of Olympics, the London-Jazz-Trio helped celebrate with an Olympics party for Allianz at the Tower Gormon Hotel, at Tower Bridge, Central London.

We had a great time and this is what the client said:

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you and the guys for last nights entertainment. The feedback this morning on the whole evening has been really good, everyone enjoyed it and the place was drank dry!! It’s always difficult organising one of these events especially when you just ‘arrange a band through google’ but I have to say your a fabulous group, really nice chaps and I would certainly recommend and use you again in the future. Many many thanks for helping us to make our Olympic Summer Party a special event.

Jazz Band Hire- London

Jazz Band Hire-London

The London Jazz Trio had fun on Thursday night, when we played for the Mapei/Domus 75th anniversary party in Clerkenwell, Central London. I’d like to say a quick thank you for being well looked after on the night and there was a great atmosphere in the room with lots up people coming up to talk to us and commenting on the music.
We started up a with a few Oscar Peterson style numbers, with lots of energy and that great bluesy sound that Oscar does so well. I knew we were along the right lines when the catering manager looked at us with a big grin and a thumbs up. This stuff just get’s people’s feet tapping.
