Hiring A Band – Questions
How much do you charge?
Our prices start at £600 and are based on travel, time, date and costs such as parking etc and so does vary.
Please contact us for a no-obligation quotation.
How long do you play for?
We usually play either 3 x 45 minutes sets or 2 x 60 minutes, though we will be as flexible as possible to fit in with your event.
Where are you based and will you travel to our event?
We are based in and around the London area and only perform within the South East – unless you make an offer that we can’t refuse!
What do you wear when you perform?
We wear smart suits with ties or if appropriate dinner jackets with bow tie.
Do you provide background music when you are not playing?
Yes, this is no problem.
Do you provide all your own sound equipment?
Yes, absolutely. We only require access to a power supply.
Do you bring a keyboard or do we need a piano at the venue?
We will always bring a professional stage piano unless the client prefers to hire an acoustic piano.
Can you play outdoors?
If this is a practical option then yes. It needs to be warm, dry and covered. We will not play outside in cold or damp conditions.
Our venue cannot have amplified music – can you play acoustically?
Acoustic music would only be possible with a hired acoustic piano.
Do you play requests?
The trio know a huge selection of songs, largely without the need for any written music and are happy to play requests, but if you have something specific that you want us to play, please let us know 7 days prior to the event and (practically) anything is possible.
Why Hire London Jazz Trio?
A quick look at our clients quotes section is a good place to start!
Also, we take a high degree of return bookings.
We’re currently booked to play our fifth consecutive “New Year’s Day” event at the prestigious Great Fosters luxury country house in Surrey.
We’ve performed on four separate occasions on-board the exclusive private residence at sea – “The World“. (If you don’t know anything about The World, it’s worth a look!) We’ve also been invited back for a fifth time.
The key to this Jazz band is that we can create an atmosphere of excitement and energy (or quiet sophistication), with enthusiasm that comes from playing good music, well.
We like to play music that people know, whatever the age group, yet keeping the group’s own individual style and never “dumbing down” the music
